Microbiologist focused on the design and development of improved molecular techniques for microbiome analysis. PhD in microbiology and MSc in immunology and immunogenetics from the University of Manchester. Chairman of the Pharmabiotics Research Institute.

Joined as CTO in September 2023 and appointed Co-CEO on 1 July 2024. Previously CEO of Ares Genetics, VP of Products at CosmosID, and senior roles at QIAGEN, CLC Bio and Pacific Biosciences.
