For academic and pharma research projects
Microbiome Analysis Services
Ship your samples to our PMP™ service laboratory for accurate, rapid and standardised analysis.

Precision Microbiome Profiling · PMP™
High-throughput, qPCR-based microbiome profiling for researchers, drug developers and health innovators.
Validated assays on Thermo Fisher Scientific’s OpenArray® platform detect selected microbes at species, subspecies and strain level.
Results are reported as number of genomes per ng of DNA — not only relative abundance.
No bioinformatics processing is needed on your side. Data arrive ready for interpretation.
Solutions
Bio-Me offers an end-to-end microbiome workflow — with off-the-shelf solutions and customisation to your specific needs.

For drug developers and clinical researchers
Profiling for LBP quality control, clinical trial stratification, engraftment monitoring and diagnostic test development.

For companies in preventive and consumer health
End-to-end analysis solutions — from sample collection kit to microbiome profile results.

PMP™ technology
PMP™ is a targeted qPCR approach on Thermo Fisher Scientific’s OpenArray® platform — an alternative to sequencing that delivers accurate, detailed microbiome information in a high-throughput format. Projects can cover the full workflow or start from purified DNA.
Collection kits, such as fecal sampling on filter paper for stable storage and simple shipping.
Automated bacterial DNA isolation and quantification following standardised protocols.
Highly parallelised qPCR on OpenArray® with carefully validated, true-to-target assays.
Absolute quantification, delivered ready to use — without bioinformatics steps.
Biomarker discovery
Through a special collaboration with HUNT4 — a large-scale, population-based observational cohort — Bio-Me has access to fecal samples and anonymised medical registries. Combined with PMP™, this supports discovery and validation of novel biomarkers and drug targets.
Access through collaboration with HUNT4. Figures as stated by Bio-Me.
